Privacy and your files

Drawings, project settings and imported reference files are saved on your computer. When you use Astra, relevant prompts, drawing information and references are sent to OpenAI through your selected ChatGPT sign-in or OpenAI API account to perform the request. AI requests therefore involve online processing; local storage does not mean the assistant runs offline.

Your OpenAI account and its applicable terms and privacy settings govern OpenAI processing. See OpenAI’s privacy policy. The app keeps its Codex sign-in separate from your coding tools. An API key entered in Settings is encrypted using operating-system facilities; you can remove it in Settings.

The installed app sends limited usage events to the AI CAD PRO service, including its version, Windows version, feature counts and sanitized error categories. A random installation ID and session ID distinguish usage without requiring an account. Offline events may be queued locally and sent later. The statistics pipeline excludes drawing contents, reference files and prompts; it strips unapproved fields and scrubs recognizable paths, emails and tokens from diagnostic categories.

The website counts page views, referrer hosts, campaign labels and interactions such as button clicks using random IDs in browser local storage and session storage. Its analytics database does not store IP addresses, names or email addresses. Event records older than 180 days are purged by the service. Hosting and network providers still receive connection information needed to deliver requests and may maintain their own operational logs.

If you send feedback, we receive the text and information you choose to include, such as an optional contact email, so we can investigate and respond. Do not include information you do not want to send.

If you choose an engineering review feature when available, account details and the drawing package you explicitly submit are sent to the review service and made available to the reviewers involved. Review communications and status are stored by that service. Email delivery and any enabled payment flow involve the respective service providers; payment details entered into Stripe’s payment interface are handled by Stripe. The engineering review program is not generally open at the date of this notice. It does not automatically upload all local projects.

The marketing site does not set cookies or offer a signup form. It uses browser storage for the statistics described above. Fonts load from Google Fonts. The introduction video connects to YouTube’s privacy-enhanced embed only after you press play; Google and YouTube then receive the connection information needed to provide those services.

Microsoft Store handles Store installation, licensing, downloads and updates under Microsoft’s own terms and privacy statement. In-app update checks contact the Windows Store service. Opening external links connects you to the destination provider.

You control which local projects and references to create, attach or submit. You can delete local project files and clear an API key in Settings. Clearing this website’s browser storage resets its random browser ID. This does not delete previously received service records. To ask about access, correction or deletion of information you supplied, contact marco@hashbanggames.com with enough detail to identify the request, without sending passwords or API keys.

Local files remain until you delete them. Service records needed for feedback, accounts or an optional review may remain beyond an individual session; contact us with a specific request. This notice does not promise a retention period for those records. We will update this page when the described practices change.
